Flower and Thorn Reviews

3.5
“I DEVOURED this book from start to finish. It’s soooo underrated (I literally hear no one talking about this novel). The plot, the characters, the setting was all 💖👌. I really enjoyed the element of flowers being something really valuable and precious ( they were also described nicely). I LOVED every character (even the bad ones). There are no proper words to describe how thoroughly I enjoyed this book ❤️. Even the history wasn’t that boring!! This one will stay with me. His gaze narrowed. “Why do you think the Portuguese are here, so far from their own country?” “Greed,” she said after a moment. “It’s always greed.” He nodded. “Europeans crave spice, are willing to pay its weight in gold. Fardan bent to peer at her face. “What are you thinking?” She pushed him away, annoyed. “I’m thinking what a fool you are.” “I knew it.” He gave a satisfied smile. “You’re always thinking about me, even when you’re frowning.”
“I got overly excited about this book. It wasn't for me if I have to be honest but I will still give this author another chance. It was super slow-paced for me and I am a particular kind of person who loves fast/action-packed books.”
