Publisher Description
Now a #1 Netflix documentary series. Get the full shocking story about billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in this #1 New York Times bestselling and definitive book, updated with the latest headline-making news and new photos.
Jeffrey Epstein rose from humble origins into the New York City and Palm Beach elite. A college dropout with an instinct for numbers -- and for people -- Epstein amassed his wealth through a combination of access and skill. But even after he had it all, Epstein wanted more. That unceasing desire -- and especially a taste for underage girls --resulted in sexual-abuse charges, to which he pleaded guilty and received a shockingly lenient sentence.
Included here are police interviews with girls who have alleged sexual abuse by Epstein, details of the investigation against him, and a new introduction with up-to-the-minute developments on the case, including Epstein's death by suicide.
An explosive true story from the world's most popular thriller writer, FILTHY RICH is a riveting tale of wealth, power, and the easy price of justice for America's wealthiest citizens.

“Horrifying topic but a necessary read to learn more about Jeffrey Epstein and the people that surrounded him.”

“This was such a quick read for being a sort of exposé/deep dive into the entire Jeff Epstein scandal, probably because so much happened and every turn was so scandalous and salacious that it would be really hard to make this book boring. I picked this up because despite the story making all major headlines for YEARS, I didn’t really know much about Epstein. Now I think I know too much.
I’m so glad they changed the names of the victims because oh my god?? I consume true crime media on a daily but how can you read what Epstein did to these children and not be disturbed, shocked, disgusted, *insert negative adjective here*.
Apart from the actual story, I do think James Patterson was a good pick to make the writing have that extra oomph and retain a sharpness and entertainment-quality about the story. That’s also a gripe of mine, though. It was written, at times, almost in a dramatized fashion when the story is so insane that it’s just not necessary. Also Patterson is a shitty person himself so he’s one to talk.”
