About Michael Connelly

Michael Connelly graduated from Clemson University in 1990. He has been involved in the Trucking Industry ever since and is a successful business owner, operating Transhield, Inc. fulltime since 2004. He has won awards for his contribution to trucking safety and compliance and is both a Trucking Industry Certified Director of Safety and Trucking Industry safety and compliance expert. He is an engaging and gregarious public speaker and instructor who is recognized as such within the Industry and whose insight-based training has been referred to as life-changing by participants. He is also a talented writer who has been writing for years. His inspiration to write Filbert Nutberrys Grand Christmas Adventure came from being involved in the transportation of the National Christmas Tree to Washington, DC many years ago. He became inspired to have the story published after the birth of his son, Braedon, who is, according to Michael, the best kid ever (even though he concedes all kids are pretty great). He enjoys traveling and likes learning the particulars of various destinations. But more, he enjoys meeting and interacting with the different people he encounters in his travels, all of which is reflected in this book.
