“I will not be continuing when more of the series comes out. I had been enjoying the story. It is a fun adventure. With an interesting world and lore. I loved that part. I liked Helak and his brotherly personality.
But the romance killed the book for me. I spent the last 100 pages skipping whole parts because I was uncomfortable and creeped out. I only wanted to finish because I wanted to know what would happen. To the plot, while jumping over whole sections, because I felt uncomfortable. The relationship was pedophilic. A 17 year old is too young for him and it made my skin crawl and made the reading experience suddenly very terrible. I wanted to enjoy the end so badly. I had been enjoying so many other parts of the book. But I can't enjoy a book of I can't read parts of it.”ChristelReads
