Publisher Description

#1 New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey launches a super sexy sports romance series with a rom-com about a bad boy professional athlete who falls for his biggest fan...

Wells Whitaker was once golf’s hottest rising star, but lately, all he has to show for his “promising” career is a killer hangover, a collection of broken clubs, and one remaining supporter. No matter how bad he plays, the beautiful, sunny redhead is always on the sidelines. He curses, she cheers. He scowls, she smiles. But when Wells quits in a blaze of glory and his fangirl finally goes home, he knows he made the greatest mistake of his life.

Josephine Doyle believed in the gorgeous, grumpy golfer, even when he didn’t believe in himself. Yet after he throws in the towel, she begins to wonder if her faith was misplaced. Then a determined Wells shows up at her door with a wild proposal: be his new caddy, help him turn his game around, and split the prize money. And considering Josephine’s professional and personal life is in shambles, she could really use the cash…

As they travel together, spending days on the green and nights in neighboring hotel rooms, sparks fly. Before long, they’re inseparable, Wells starts winning again, and Josephine is surprised to find a sweet, thoughtful guy underneath his gruff, growly exterior. This hot man wants to brush her hair, feed her snacks, and take bubble baths together? Is this real life? But Wells is technically her boss and an athlete falling for his fangirl would be ridiculous… right?

Thumbs Up“spent half my time googling golf trends and the other half reading smut. solid read”
Expressionless Face“Firstly, I am strongly against stalking athletes, and that is essentially what starts this story. Secondly, the diabetes subplot doesn’t make sense. Either make it a plot point or don’t put it in the book. There was some strong secondhand embarrassment moments as well. The ending was cute but that was about it honestly.”
“3.75 ⭐️ 3 🌶️ Things to fangirl over : - “Good Girl” / praise. I’m an absolute sucker for a bossy dirty talker 🥵 - Unique sports romance, who would have thought golf could be interesting? - Feisty, courageous, resilient FMC - great bants and quips - The playfulness and lust is sublime - Grumpy vs sunshine (my favourite) - Josephine is in a male dominated field but she kicks ass. Yasss girl get it 🙌 - Eye rolling / bad puns that you can’t help but smile at 💀 🛑Stop here if you don’t want spoilers!!! 🛑 . . . And now for the spoilers (look away)… . . . 🛑 Last chance 🛑 . Other things I loved : - It’s cheesy but I swoon when MMCs effortlessly sweep a FMC into their arms. I don’t care if it’s overused, there’s no way I will ever stop liking this 😍 - Floridian characters that come up with wild metaphors like “The bath tub bamboozled me, drew me in like a gator to a roasted ham” . I have so many questions - is this an actual expression? And if not, can it be? - Lusting over Gerard butler in 300. What an absolute hunk. - The flirty bets. YES! - The book cover is the perfect moment to capture as is also captured in the book by photographers. This level of detail just makes me happy. - I love that she scrambles his brain Things that I most definitely did not love: - Started strong, fell down a flight of stairs for a wee bit (it felt like every other book for a couple of chapters aka snooze fest ) then picked up quickly with some much needed flirting and spice 🔥. On the bright side, I had one of the best naps I’ve had in ages. Once you get over that early book slump it gets better and better so ride it out. - Took me awhile to warm up to the MMC cause he’s a bit of a twatwaffle at the start. His redeeming quality is that he cares about her and he just grew on me. - There are definitely some dull sections, repetitive bits and parts of the storyline that are just well, not good. - Don’t get me wrong, I love a tatted hero but these tattoos could probably win an award for most cringe worthy.”
