“This was such a fun read! It’s even more fun if you’re familiar with the Fable games and know the story up to and including Fable III, though that knowledge by no means is necessary to have a great time with this! It had everything we love about the Fable universe: dead-pan sense of humor, fantastical creatures, questing, untrustworthy characters and of course….characters that develop and shift their good vs evil alignments. The book starts in a place where there actually are no longer Heroes - or Balverines for that matter, but then revives the Fable lore we know and love in a beautiful quest for revenge and purpose, with two true friends who learn, drink, fight with and alongside one another become more than they ever thought they would!”
