“3.5⭐️.. Deputy Dan pulls over Meg for speeding and gets entangled in a chaotic web of murders, corrupt police, kidnapping, assault, and drug trafficking in Exile, Texas. This book maintained a constant level of tension, high stakes, and a touch of light romance. However, at times, the tension became overwhelming, requiring some respite. The climax felt a bit far-fetched and overly convoluted, but it still managed to keep my interest piqued.”
