For fans of Jandy Nelson and Jenny Han comes a new novel that will be hard to forget.

Addison Sullivan has been in an accident. In its aftermath, she has memory lapses and starts talking to a boy who keeps disappearing. She's afraid she's going crazy, and the worried looks on her family's and friends' faces aren't helping.

Addie takes drastic measures to fill in the blanks and visits the Overton Clinic. But there she unwittingly discovers it is not her first visit. And when she presses, she finds out that she had certain memories erased.

Flooded with questions about the past, Addison confronts the choices she can't even remember and wonders if you can possibly know the person you're becoming if you don't know the person you've been.

“I'll try to keep it short. I a nutshell, it was what I would call a "safe" book. It was an okay-average story but nothing about it actually stood out to me which is such a shame because I loved the concept of the main character being in love with someone who doesn't really exist but the author really dropped the ball on that one. We barely got to see her and the ghost interact, the book was wayyyyyy too long and because of that it felt like the story dragged on on so many scenes that didn't necessarily add to the plot. There were no high stakes for us as the readers and really the book gave me no real reason to feel like I needed to know what happened next. The author really dropped the ball here. She had such an amazing concept that she could have done so much more with but the entire story felt like the author was to afraid to push past her comfort zone and so we as the readers got stuck with a "safe" book. The book was so boring that most of the times I even forgot that I was reading it. It's been two weeks and I'm only just halfway through. I think it's time for me to put it down and read something else. A good book needs to be able to make the reader feel something, the experience of falling in love, the pain of losing a loved one, the excitement of the reality of dreams coming true, the anguish of a broken heart, the complexity of a forbidden love. But all I felt here was boredom. All things considered, I have nothing against the author and it is entirely possible that I was not the target demographic for this book. I recommend it for someone in the 10-17 year age range ⭐”
“I loved it so much! It's such a great book with so many realistic problems that most of us face. The author's writing was perfect. I wish there was more of this book (yes, i really need another book if possible). Now i'm gonna go cry in a corner.”
