“If you aren't into a slower pace reading with a lot of world building and exposition, then this isn't for you. Hadrian, is our morally grey MMC, who struggles with life on a new planet and the hardships that come with it. You spend most of the book with him dealing with living on the new planet. but if you stick through it you will get rewarded at the end with a strong finish. You get to hear a lot of what it is he's feeling and what his thoughts are on certian things and people. this is clearly setting up for what is possibly to come in the next book.”asjal rashid

Christopher Ruocchio is the internationally award-winning author of The Sun Eater, a space opera fantasy series, and the former Junior Editor at Baen Books, where he edited several anthologies. His work has also appeared in Marvel comics. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he studied English Rhetoric and the Classics. Christopher has been writing since he was eight and sold his first novel, Empire of Silence, at twenty-two. His books have appeared in five languages. Christopher lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife, Jenna.
