“Exciting adventure with high stakes drama, surprising twists and serious consequences. There's personal loss added to the constant uncertainty of life during wartime. Temeraire is an adult now, and his standing with Lawrence is more complicated as their mutual respect and regard puts them on equal footing. Their loyalty to each other is unwavering but their friendship is tested in the name of loyalty, responsibility, duty and honor. This is a beautifully written book, with deep and caring relationships, humor, loss, adventure, wartime glory and destruction.”
