“Historical fiction is one of my favourite genres and as such I have a real soft spot for Steampunk and reflections of Jules Verne. Echoes of the Divine is a compendium of short stories and in itself, a short read. The writing style was not my usual taste in respect of HIstorical/ steampunk but I like how Ackley-McPhail is developing a unique space of their own within the genre. As such, I would certainly recommend this book as the story concepts are interesting and they work together. I think each short story could be expanded into a novella series Certainly an author to explore further Thank you to Netgalley, eSpec Books, Paper Phoenix Press and the author Danielle Ackley-McPhail for this very interesting ARC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own #EchoesoftheDivine #NetGalley”
