Hoping to salvage his collapsing syndicate and put an end to the war between organizations, he's not prepared for the tempting woman taken as an unexpected hostage.

As Amy struggles to resist his charm, she refuses to fall for the man who's twice her age and her family's arch nemesis. And although Niall's drawn to her cunning mind and beauty, he knows trusting her could be the final nail in his coffin.

With loyalties tested and allegiances broken, will family ties tear them apart, or can forbidden love prevail?

“This was a great Forced proximity mafia romance. It's a great example of a romance that blooms from a kidn@pping. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time. It was also wrong person... oops... But with all these wrongs, there was a right. In this mafia romance you will find a big age Gap but in love that doesn't matter, Forced Proximity, mafia men, enemies to Lovers, high angst, suspense and a man who gives it all up for her. 🧡 Enemies to Lovers 🧡 Forbidden Romance 🧡 Forced Proximity 🧡 Slow Burn 🧡 Opposites Attract 🧡 Morally Gray 🧡 Age Gap 🧡 Captive Romance 🧡 High Angst 🧡 Plus Size 🧡 Body Positive 🧡 Possessive MMC”
“A curvy accountant with a love for older men…was this written for me personally!?! If you’ve been following along with my reviews, you know I’m a huge Victoria Jayne fan, especially of her Dixie Mafia series, and I’ve been waiting for Amy’s story for (what feels like but totally isn’t) so long! I honestly was not sure how Victoria was going to get me to also fall in love with Niall, the head of the Irish syndicate, aka the group that has been at war with her family since book 1 of this series. But! Always have faith in Jayne, because she did it! I adored how smart Amy was and how much moxie she had. She knew that she had to save herself from being unalived, but also had to be unimportant enough to be allowed to leave...that was until they found out exactly who she was! So, what’s a girl to do but come up with a fantastic plan to end the war and barter a truce? All these big, bad mafia guys and it was the baddie with brains to solve the problem. Yesssss girl!! I enjoyed getting to see another side to the Irish mafia members, especially Niall and his sons. I loved watching Niall open up again for the first time since his wife passed, and how even though they were enemies, he was still a decent person (sh!t bucket aside). I absolutely loved that she didn’t have fear when speaking to him, and he really enjoyed that on another level 😉 I can’t wait for the next installment!! Thank you to Victoria Jayne for an eARC copy! The thoughts and opinions expressed above are honest and my own.”
“Duchess of Debits is a great addition to Victoria Jayne’s Dixie Mafia series, delivering exactly what the blurb promises…. enemies to lovers, age gap, kidnapping, slow burn mafia romance with plenty of steam. 😜 Amy Kirk is the “invisible” accountant daughter in a Southern syndicate family, she’s smart, detail oriented, and content with her spreadsheets, until she’s yanked into the rival Irish mafia’s orbit. 😮 Niall Doherty is the vengeful, older leader out for blood after losing his nephew, willing to do whatever it takes to stabilize his crumbling organization. Their collision is classic, she’s the hostage who wasn’t supposed to be tempting, he’s the ruthless captor who didn’t count on her sharp mind and quiet strength complicating his revenge. ❤️ Don’t you just hate it when that happens? 😝 Letting the attraction build amid distrust, the power imbalances, and moral conflicts was just great. The “twice her age” gap and enemy status added friction. Amy’s resistance and Niall’s internal war between vengeance and growing feelings had me turning those kindle pages. Amy isn’t a typical shrinking violet captive, her cunning and savvy skills play into the plot. Niall is suitably intense and commanding without losing depth. The chemistry is steamy once it ignites. It is book 3 in the series, it stands alone reasonably well but continues to build on the Dixie Mafia world. If you enjoy stories where the road to “us against the world” is paved with suspicion, heat, and hard choices, this one delivers. Run (don’t walk) if the blurb already has you hooked, especially if you’ve been following the Dixie Mafia series. Looking forward to seeing how the larger syndicate stories play out in future books! 🦋 *copy supplied for review”
“I am officially hooked on this series. Every couple’s story manages to feel real and grounded, even with the fast-paced romances—and that’s not easy to pull off. Amy and Niall completely stole the show for me. Their dynamic is effortlessly funny, built on a situation neither of them planned for, yet somehow they make it work in the most unexpected way. Amy is a confident, curvy woman who isn’t searching for love, and Niall? An older Irish mafia king who has long since closed that chapter of his life after losing his wife. Watching those two collide was equal parts chaotic and heartwarming. What starts as a practical arrangement quickly turns into something deeper. Forced into close proximity, they lean on each other while navigating challenges that impact both their families—and that emotional connection really shines through. I loved every bit of their story. And now I’m impatiently waiting… can we please get Sam’s book next?”
