Dragon Republic Collector's Edition Reviews

4.0
“Rebecca you clever woman! I thought book one blew me away but this book took my hand and led me into a darker more grim fate. I was yelling at the harsh realities presented. My copy of the book is annotated to high heaven. I cried a couple of times and I don’t think I will ever recover from this book. I was genuinely terrified by the decisions made. Horrified when thinking about The Burning God.i need an emotional break dawg Rebecca girl I need to send you an invoice”
“Overall, The Dragon Republic was a strong sequel with an incredible world and powerful themes, but I found myself a bit worn down by Rin’s constant internal battles. Her struggle to summon the fire, and the repeated cycle of anger, guilt, and loss, was important to her character arc, but at times it started to feel redundant. Similarly, the constant references to Altan, while crucial to understanding her trauma and growth, began to feel repetitive and heavy-handed. That said, the pacing and intensity really picked up in the second half of Part Two and throughout Part Three. The political maneuvering, shifting alliances, and large scale conflict were gripping and well written. Rin’s saviour complex, though clearly central to her character, is starting to exhaust me a bit, and I’m not sure yet if I’ll continue on to The Burning God. Maybe trilogies just aren’t for me. Still, The Dragon Republic was a compelling read. It was dark, emotional, and ambitious, even if it tested my patience at times.”
