Don Juan
ByPublisher Description
Don Juan is a satire and is considered Lord Byron's greatest epic. It was unfinished at the time of his death. He worked on the poem from 1818 until his death in 1824, leaving the 17th canto incomplete. Lord Byron derived the character, but not the story, from the Spanish legend of Don Juan. The poem portrays Don Juan not as a womaniser, but as a man easily seduced by women.
