“Third fictionalized historical book about ancient Rome after Roma and Empire. This series is excellent and each book managed to leave me wanting the story to continue. This one especially ends on a haunting note when the latest member of the venerable Penarii (sp?) family converts to Christianity and walks away from their thousand year history in Rome. I'm pretty sure the series is over unless Saylor plans to cover the Constantinople years (which would be amazing), but he leaves just enough bread crumbs at the end of Dominus to leave me wanting more.”
