“Fred is too cowardly for his owner Big Tony to turn him into a guard dog, so he is thrown into the street and picked up by the dogcatcher. When he is adopted from the shelter by a trainer looking for dogs to use in a show, he gets a chance to find a real home. But first he has to find a way to do his job on the show, help the people and pups around him, and not let some of the unpleasant dogs around him ruin his chances.
This is a really cute story with a great pace. Every chapter feels like it's moving the story ahead a bit, and most are full of action and fun. Fred is a sweet main character and it is fun to watch him grow and help those around him do the same.”
