Publisher Description

It’s the beginning of summer break, and high school English teacher Shannon Parker is ready to relax poolside with some red wine and a good book. She’s friggin’ earned it! But first—a little shopping, a la fancy estate auction.

Surrounded by old folks and even older artifacts, Shannon never expects to find something that shocks her down to her very core: an ancient vase, complete with a beautiful painting of a goddess that looks just like her. And just as she’s stealing away with her seriously suspicious purchase, she’s magically thrown into the world of Partholon, where not only has she taken the place of Rhiannon, Goddess Incarnate and Epona’s Chosen, but she’s due to be married to a surly (but oh-so-handsome) High Shaman centaur, ClanFintan.

But serving as Epona’s Chosen isn’t just luxury baths and buff horse-guys. A dark power grows in the wastelands to the north, and Rhiannon will need much more than just the favor of Epona to protect the land—and the man—she’s grown to love.

“I made notes as I was reading: Behaviourism & psychoanalysis references - I’m not sure she (author) has a good grasp on either. I’m kinda worried about the authors sex life. It’s actual centaurs - htf does that even work. She needs to strike yum/yummy from her vocab. I have laughed out loud. Several times. ‘’I grew up horse crazy’’ is not a good enough justification for centaur sex! Some of these pop culture references are so old I’m not even getting them. Oh thank god, they can shapeshift. Hard relate to using battlements for sunbathing. Incredible amount of rumbling stomachs to ruin moments. Thank God I’ve watched enough Star Trek to understand the never ending references. The dreams… god make them stop. He made her orgasm by getting her to literally ride him, it was not erotic. Every plan went to shit but smallpox saves the day. Though fighting infected enemies when half the battle force is unvaccinated humans seems unwise. Stand out quotes ‘’girlfriends only use each others middle names when a crisis exists or when deviant sex is being discussed’’ ‘’But I didn’t know then that my intended was a horse! I had been worried about sex with a stranger, not bestislity!’’ ‘’No wonder I thought ClanFintan was so damn cute - I was in need of a pet and a man.’’”
“Let’s subtract ALL of the sex and sexual innuendos (solid 40% of the book) and focus solely on the storyline … it sucked . Add in the sexual content and it felt … weird .”
“Great reread over and over again”
