“I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through this book. Not only is it full to the brink of the history of Griffith Park (including ghost stories), it starts off by answering the age old question of, "How Do I See the Hollywood Sign?" Casey goes into great detail on the various ways it can be done too.
As a hiker, I really enjoyed the detailed trail guides and accompanying maps. The beautifully curated color pictures along with Casey's carefully crafted words help bring the spaces to life right off the page. And can we talk about that cover? (Insert heart eye emoji here)
It was also nice to see parts of the park that don't generally get much love shine in the spotlight of this local's guide.
If you're looking for a well-rounded guidebook to the place that literally inspired Disneyland (this book is FULL of fun facts), do yourself a favor and buy yourself a copy of Discovering Griffith Park.”
