“This book is rooted in unresolved, generational grief and takes its time sitting with it. It explores family, identity, and belonging through many overlapping perspectives and timelines.
There are a lot of characters, and while I followed along for most of the book, the connections started to blur toward the end. That confusion slightly softened the emotional impact for me, but it did not erase it.
What stood out was the quiet power of the story. The grief feels inherited rather than isolated, and the book does not rush to explain or fix it. The ending is subtle, reflective, and emotionally grounded.
This is best for readers who are patient with structure and open to slower, more contemplative storytelling. If you like emotionally deep literary fiction that prioritizes themes over plot clarity, this one will likely stay with you.”
