“I was lucky enough to receive this as an arc from Aiden E. Messer…and let me tell you it was amazing!!!! I felt like I was reading a very violent and gore filled version of hunger games! Just be very aware that this book is very graphic and has a lot of gore and some weird sex scenes lol. I don’t get grossed out easily but man some of the scenes in here were intense!!!! Lol. I can’t wait to read more from this author!”
“This book magically cured me of my reading slump. It was fast-paced and gruesome. It had every thing modern Battle Royale-ish books often lacked. The guts. The blood. The ultraviolence. You can’t write about a vicious survival battle without getting dirty. The more raw, the better. Can’t wait for more!”
“**I received this book for an honest review** This book was a very good short read! This dystopian horror book features a system that causes characters to be chosen for what they call "Days of Dream." Imagine the hunger games but more sadistic. Some of the characters are thrown in an abandoned town to fight for their lives for the next 2 weeks. They have to endure each other, the elements, and the unknown. The winners are guaranteed awards and the less survivors the higher the prize. There are books that come with warnings and end up not living up to the warning on the front cover. Then there are books like this where that warning was VERY much appropriate. The author did a great job at following some of the characters throughout the abandoned town and getting their perspective. You learn to love some characters while despising others. You will most likely find yourself rooting for someone as you read throughout the book. I am hoping with the way the book ended we can expect a second book from this author!”
“The Hunger Games but extreme horror In a future run by an evil corporation every 5 years 20 people are chosen to enter the Days of Dreams, those that survive will be rewarded with a place for them and their families in the City of Tomorrow There was a lot to like about this book, but the absolute highlight is the main characters and how well drawn they are. Alfie and Tam are a fantastic heart to the book and Lisa is so incredibly fucked up that she is a solid adversary, some of the others are a little flat and only exist to move the plot on, Akira, I'm looking at you. It takes a little while for the gore to kick in, but when it does it was well worth the wait. If you like extreme horror with a heart then this is well worth your time I was sent an ARC by the author for an honest review”
