Publisher Description

There will be plenty of time for me to beat him soundly once I've gotten what I came for.

Sent on a mission to retrieve an ancient hidden map—the key to a legendary treasure trove—seventeen-year-old pirate captain Alosa deliberately allows herself to be captured by her enemies, giving her the perfect opportunity to search their ship.

More than a match for the ruthless pirate crew, Alosa has only one thing standing between her and the map: her captor, the unexpectedly clever and unfairly attractive first mate Riden. But not to worry, for Alosa has a few tricks up her sleeve, and no lone pirate can stop the Daughter of the Pirate King.

In Daughter of the Pirate King, debut author Tricia Levenseller blends action, adventure, romance, and a little bit of magic into a thrilling pirate tale.

Slightly Smiling Face“Read this with the book club I’m in for our Fanta-Sea theme. The beginning was intriguing and I love the main character plus a couple of the side characters but I had to force myself to finish this one. Definitely started getting predictable and not as thrilling as it started out. 3.5/5 stars.”

Slightly Smiling Face“It might have been because I was reading other things initially, but I started this book, then didn’t touch it for a while, and then read it in a couple days. It was gripping but not? The characters are fun but there was a lack of depth to the story - this might be explored further in the next book which I *am* looking forward to read (if not just so I can see if the “lack of” turns into “just right”) but the end chapters were definitely interesting! All of a sudden.”

Slightly Smiling Face“First pirate book. Was very easy to read and hooked me instantly. Would’ve loved to see more of Ridan and Alosa’s relationship develop. Loved their bickering and chemistry. Will be reading the rest of the series.”
