“<strong>Has some issues </strong>
The book has some issues, the most immersion breaking of them being the multitude of spelling errors, typos, and duplicate words throughout the story. It's very clear that a proper editor was never budgeted for, and sadly that shows in the final product.
The world building and lore is both interesting and unique, but the characters feel very one dimensional, most likely due to having such a large cast. There were also many immersion breaking POV shifts that slow the pacing of the story midway through the book.
Lastly, this is clearly a Young Adult novel, or at least it feels like it. The protagonists are all young, reckless, and make downright moronic choices repeatedly mostly due to not wanting to be like their parents.
The book had a strong start but lost it's way midway through the book. The last 20% had me skipping pages just to get to the end. I personally wouldn't read a sequel due to the low quality and lack of proper editing.”
