“This was such a good continuation of Dream by the Shadows and I loved how this duology concluded. I loved the gothic vibes and the way the atmosphere was brought to life through the author’s words. So many interesting things went on in this world and I couldn’t get enough of it. All this paired with the magic and romantic aspects that were tied in, it was quite a read. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more books by this author.

“Not gonna lie, I’m kinda disappointed. This was one of my most anticipated books of 2026 and it just didn’t live up to my expectations. I didn’t like that there was a sex scene in the book. I feel like the book would have been better without it honestly. There was too much going on in the whole book and it all didn’t flow well. The only thing I did like was the setting.”

As a classic second book the concept and magic system are a little less exciting due the lack of mystery. But as a good second book, and conclusion to the duology, Cursed by the Dawn makes up for that by solidifying the world and the characters that dwell within it. The magic system is explored more. You learn more about the other weavers and the demons that haunt the dreaming and waking world. Overall I’m glad I read Cursed by the Dawn. The land of Noctis may need a revisit in the future.”
