Cursebound
ByPublisher Description
They’re no longer prisoners to the fae court, but now two elven sisters are each bound by shackles of the heart—the sequel to the national bestseller Faebound, hailed as “a devastatingly romantic and breathtaking fantasy” (Tasha Suri).
United by war.
Betrayed by destiny.
Cursed by love.
Yeeran was born for war but is unprepared for love. She has left her new lover, the Queen of the fae, to return to her homeland, only to find that her former lover now threatens war against the fae.
Left behind, her sister Lettle is determined to break the curse that binds the fae to their realm. When a stranger appears in the city, Lettle is convinced he’s the key. But the Fates that once spoke to her have fallen silent.
Can Lettle and Yeeran discover the secret behind the curse—and unite these two worlds before they destroy each other?

“I like the characters in this series a lot. I am so excited to see how it turns out. The mixture of Tolkien inspired lore with touches of African mythology is such an interesting spin on modern fantasy. The story feels familiar yet fresh.”
“Around the same feelings for this book like I had for the first book of this series. It’s like this series is giving me exactly enough to keep me entertained instead of DNFing, but I just wish it was more exciting. I enjoyed the twists, turns and betrayals, tho Lettle was really starting to get on my nerves in this one. Now I know the third book isn’t out yet, but if I’m honest, I’m a bit unsure if I wanna continue this series. I did really enjoy the relationship between Yeeran and Furi tho so if I’m continuing this series, it’s because of them, and their beasts ofc”

I absolutely love this world and the characters in it. Their motivations and actions feel in-line with their who they are, and their traumas and pasts mean something. And the details seeded throughout? Fantastic.
That said: I did call one of the big twists. Another one did surprise me, though.
And the epilogue killed me. Because Furi. Babes. What do you mean you made a 21-year-old with 0 experience your commanding officer? With war at your doorstep? I have no doubts that she is capable, smart, and trustworthy, but GIRL. Rash is right. By the three gods what are you thinking? My only hope is that Yeeran will be by Anya's side the entire time because someone with experience needs to be on that shit. Big oof.”
