Criminal Justice Reviews

4.0
“Criminal Justice by Michael J. Allen was quite a roller coaster ride. I haven't read too many science fiction novels, but I quite enjoyed this novelette. With that being said it took me a little while to get adjusted to the storyline. Being that this was a short novel, I didn't get the chance to get back stories on the main characters involved. Allen infused this story with lots of action, and it really did take off with a blast right out of the gate. Tina was one of my favorite characters (I could be partial because I'm a woman); but she to me showed the most range of characters. They whole group had many hard decisions to make out in space on the drop of a dime. Allen moves the story along pretty well to where I did not experience in drag time. The book did have me feeling a sense of wanting more. I was thoroughly invested in it and believe the storyline could lend itself to a prequel as well as follow up editions.”
“I received this book in exchange for my honest review of the book. This one at the beginning couldn't actually pick up anything to liked for any reason, now it's not a bad book, at the beginning it's very tense and it adds to the plot nicely. It has a very fast pace, being short and all, the character that intrigued me more was Tina and Gil really, the others were interesting but they had something special that drawn me to them. By the end I was bought by Tina and wanted to know more about her and what actually happened to bring them to where they were at this very moment, so hopefully in any other of the books of the author it will be exploiting that. Very recommended if youre looking for a short read for a trip maybe an airplane.”

I liked the story and some of the characters. 4*.”

About Michael J Allen

Originally from Oregon, Michael J. Allen is a pluviophile masquerading as a vampire IT professional in rural Georgia. Warped from youth by the likes of Jerry Lewis, Robin Williams, Gene Wilder and Danny Kay, his sense of humor leads to occasional surrender, communicable insanity, a sweet tooth and periodic launch into nonsensical song. He loves books, movies, the occasional video game, playing with his Labradors - Myth and Magesty. He knows almost nothing about music.

A recovering Game Master, he gave up running RPG's for writing because the players didn't play out the story in his head like book characters would - we know how that worked out.

Suddenly fresh out of teenagers, he spends his days writing in restaurants, people watching and warring over keyboard control with the voices in his head.
