Creative News of Current Black Blues

Creative News of Current Black Blues is told from the authors perspective using poetry to highlight black oppression in all of its forms from colorism, violence, poor education and personal experiences in a repeated cycle of a broken system. She expresses strength in a community full of struggles and a plead for change. Her overal hope is for the black, minority and impoverished youth to learn outside a system set up for people like them to fail, so that they may better navigate and limit the mistakes that impact their quality of life.
