For centuries, the shifters that roam Big Sky country have honored a pact to keep the peace. Even bad-boy rancher Wes Calhoun, former leader of a renegade pack, has given up his violent ways and sworn loyalty to the Grey Wolves. But his dark past keeps catching up with him…

Human rancher Naomi Evans only cares about saving the land that was her father's legacy. “Good plot, characters, and s3x scenes. Overall good book but not GREAT. I personally am a fan of werewolves because it is a little fantasy while still feeling really relatable. If you are looking to get into smutty fantasy this is a good intro book.”
“Paranormal romance was my first love when picking a romance novel, but the last couple of years I’ve been busy reading other subgenres. I found myself in the mood for a paranormal romance when I was browsing Netgalley a month ago. The first cover to grab my attention was that of Cowboy Wolf Trouble. Come on just look at it. Mmmm….. Then I looked at the title and thought, yes, a werewolf romance that must have a cowboy on as the hero. Another thought I had was, oh Kait Ballenger is the author. Lovely woman, I met her a few years back at an Authors After Dark book con. I also have read a couple of her books in her first series, Execution Underground. I remember I really enjoyed that series. I still need to read the last novel, Midnight Hunter and after half-way, through reading Cowboy Wolf Trouble I found it at the library and I’m now on the waitlist for it. I was pleasantly surprised as an I read Cowboy Wolf Trouble, that it is a spin-off of the Execution Underground series because the EU and some of its hunters are mentioned and later one makes a cameo. Anyway back to my reading experience with Cowboy Wolf Trouble. It has all the key elements of a paranormal romance, hot alpha hero who shifts into a wolf, strong heroine and an element of danger. Plus there are a few smexy love scenes between the cowboy wolf and rancher heroine. Kait Ballenger does a great job with setting up the world for the Seven Range Shifters series. Werewolves are not the only shifters and there are vampires too. We only get a peek at the other supernaturals for now because it’s all about the Grey Wolf Pack and the Wild Eight Pack. In this world, supernaturals hide their nature from humans. Which brings in one of the major conflicts when our wolfy hero, Wes meets the rancher heroine, Naomi. He reveals his shifter nature to her one night when he is trapped in an animal trap her brother set up against her wishes. ( https://twimom227.com/2019/01/sunday-snippet-cowboy-wolf-trouble-by-kait-ballenger.html Needless to say, Naomi gets a surprise when she finds a sexy man in the wolf trap. By law, he should have killed her after she saw him shift, but he puts his neck on the line to save her, multiple times. The romance develops over the course of the story while the wolf packs work up to a battle against each other. Namoi does her best to give some much needed TLC to Wes, but because of his past, Wes doesn’t believe he deserves her love. While Cowboy Wolf Trouble didn’t completely knock my socks off, but honestly most first books in a series don’t. I enjoyed most elements of the story and plan to read the novel, Cowboy in Wolf’s Clothing when it releases this summer.”

About Kait Ballenger

Kait Ballenger hated reading when she was a child, because she was horrible at it. Then by chance she picked up the Harry Potter series, magically fell in love with reading, and never looked back. When she realized shortly after that she could tell her own stories, and they could be about falling in love, her fate was sealed.
