Corsair's Cove Chocolate Shop by Shelley Adina & Lee McKenzie & digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

The sweetest life is the one you make together ...

Corsair's Cove has a reputation for being one of the most haunted places in the Pacific Northwest. It also has a way of drawing to itself the people who need it most—like the four Blackthorne cousins. When Aunt Ruby passes and leaves them her chocolate shop, it comes with a few extras she forgot to tell them about—such as a talking parrot and a pirate ghost!

Cursed by an angry ex, Daniel Blackthorne, the Wolf of the West, must help the last descendants of his family find true love before he's banished forever on Hallowe'en night. But even a skilled sea captain will encounter heavy weather when he tries to get Prudence, Livy, Brynn, and Eloise—four cousins with everything but romance on their minds—into the arms of their soulmates before the clock strikes midnight ...

"Love is a sweet adventure—especially in Corsair's Cove!" —Bella Andre (aka Lucy Kevin), New York Times bestselling author of The Sullivans

Corsair's Cove Chocolate Shop Reviews

3.0
“The authors of this compilation generously offered my signed print copy as part of a Goodreads giveaway. Unfortunately, the complete set of stories from Corsair's cove gets a mixed review. The four authors each write about one of the four cousins who live and work in the Cove. Obviously some of the authors were better than others. I appreciated the way their styles worked well together. One of the author's bungled the personality of a character which had previously been established. That was jarring (and disappointing), but as that particular story was the worst of the bunch, it can be forgiven. The premise has overbearing supernatural tendencies, but if readers are okay with that, they'll enjoy the series. For me personally, the supernatural elements took over the plots and took away from the characters' journeys. I enjoyed the over-the-top world building as much as any Hallmark Christmas movie. I liked the story style, though as these are actually novellas, the romance develops pretty quickly. I thought there was a decent amount of character development and was pleasantly surprised by the bonus Christmas story at the end of the book. The sections worked seamlessly and the plot was amusing. This is head and shoulders above many sweet romances being published. The authors have a good grasp on the elements of writing and though the characters aren't chaste, the scenes are firmly in the "clean" category. It was a pleasure to read and review this book. I believe it will steal the hearts of fans of the genre.”
