However a woman, even a titled woman had no power with no husband being unmarried. However being married brings her much power as her wicked Uncle wanted her to marry his son as she lives on rich lands where sheep thrive and she has hired many thralls but freed them as paid weavers.
The thing is she knows Hakon will leave in the Spring to get revenge on the man who sold him into slavery! He promised to send men to protect Orla. Will Hakon keep his promise or break it and put Orla in a very vulnerable position once again?
Besides that they have both fallen in love. How can these two now live apart? Read and find out in another phenomenal Lucy Morris novella.
Chosen as the Warriors Wife

Kassia had begged Fiske, the ship owner, to take her away after he found her trying to steal his ship! Except her royal family finds her and are ready to punish her harshly until Fiske covers for her. She did not realize he was the Chief commander of the Emperor’s army.Now her family pretty much throws their daughter at the Emperor not caring what happens to her. As long as their family’s status and wealth is elevated, especially if she is chosen as the Emperor's new bride.
Fiske is not surprised to see Kassia at the Emperor's bride show, as she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He is surprised she isn’t picked until he realizes this liar who cheated him out of half the silver after five years of service he had been promised but tells him he will get the dowry of any of the women he picks.
Soon he realizes he must save Kassia until he feels she too has betrayed him with a secret she has been hiding. Will he forgive her or send her back to her family who will sell her to the highest bidder covered in silks. Read and find out.
These are two fabulous short stories by two fabulous authors that specialize in Viking Historical Romance. The first story is by my go-to-Viking author Lucy Morris and this is my first read by Sarah Rodi that I absolutely loved and definitely will read again.
I loved both stories though they are longer than a novella book. Two great stories readers don’t want to miss!
