But do you have what it takes to Compete?

With Earth about to be destroyed by an extinction level asteroid, teenage nerd, geek, and awkward smart girl Gwen Lark, and a few of her friends and loved ones, barely Qualified for rescue onboard one of the thousands of ark-ships headed to the ancient colony planet Atlantis.

Now faced with a year-long journey in space, life in a wondrously alien environment, and many tough life choices, Gwen must decide who or what she will become. Fleet Cadet or Civilian? Friend or lover? Average or extraordinary?

Can she make new friends? Can she trust the old ones, such as Logan Sangre, her sexy high school crush and an Earth special operative?

Time and time again, Gwen's uncanny ability to come up with the best answer in a crisis saves her life and others. And now, her unique Logos voice makes her an extremely valuable commodity to the Atlanteans—so much so that her enigmatic commanding officer Aeson Kassiopei, who is also the Imperial Prince of Atlantis, has taken an increasingly personal interest in her.

Before the end of the journey, Gwen must convince him that she has what it takes to compete in the deadly Games of the Atlantis Grail.

It's becoming apparent—the life of her family and all of Earth depends on it.

COMPETE is the second book in The Atlantis Grail series.

“I have a good amount of issues with this book yet I couldn’t put it down and I was desperate to know what happened next. Gwen is too much of a main character, I understand she is the MC so everything will happen to her- HOWEVER, does she really need THREE guys drooling over her, to be almost the best at EVERYTHING, get her way EVERY TIME and have a bunch of traumatic stuff happen to her. I feel like this book does A LOT of telling and not showing, Gwen is supposed to be awkward yet she’s so good at everything and is able to take charge in what she wants and has the confidence to do so??? Yeah no. It’s very repetitive and I felt myself skimming through a lot, if I was super invested I’d enjoy the Atlantean culture but it felt so dense that I didn’t want to sit through paragraphs upon paragraphs of so much lore of the world. The romance was still very good I can’t lie, A PULSE KISS?? Ooo yeah I was on my knees. HOWEVER with Aeson at the end declaring Gwen as his bride did not feel rewarding. I understand it is an enemy to lovers slowburn, there were little moments leading up to it but nothing that screams “let’s get married rn”. I did still see that coming so maybe she did do a good job setting it up.”
“Compete was very gripping! I did not want to put this down. Following the conclusion of last book, they were all going through space, traveling to Atlantis. Once again, I love the events that they chose to include (especially the zero-g dances!). The setting felt so varied! I wasn't quite sure how they sure going to do it considering the fact they were on fleet ships, but it really surprised me! The character growth was astounding! I could absolutely feel Gwen's wins and losses, and how helpless she felt at times. Aeson felt so multifaceted. I love how Gwen makes new friends wherever she goes! My favorite new character is Kem! The plot was thrilling and unpredictable! I felt like I was being taken on a wild ride, and every second sunk me deeper and deeper into the story. I cannot imagine what all will happen in the next one!”
