Coach
By Devney PerryPublisher Description
A single dad, sports romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author, Devney Perry.
Football star. Single dad. And once, a long time ago, mine.
I’ve spent the better part of a decade forgetting Ford Ellis. If he had just stayed away from Montana, I might have erased the memory of his striking blue eyes and rugged smile forever. Avoiding him was easy when the only place I saw his face was on ESPN—and a remote control could fix that problem.
Except my boss just hired Ford as the new head coach for the Treasure State Wildcats. Not only will I be stuck watching him on the sidelines this season, but avoiding him will be impossible now that we’re working together.
Maybe I haven’t forgotten Ford. Maybe I still dream about what we might have been. Maybe he hasn’t forgotten me either.
Except those maybes won’t change the fact that we were never meant to be. Maybe he was mine once. But as of today, the only thing I’ll be calling Ford Ellis is Coach.

“Wow, this is my first Devney Perry book and I’m convinced, so i guess we need to read her famous The Eden series, then! “Ten years. Three words, ten years in the making. They were sweet. So fucking sweet.”
I purposely chose Coach cos im rebel like that, get a non ‘in your face all the time’ book of a famous author on socmed! SO GLAD I DID! Solid 5 ⭐️, cos
1. SPORTS ROMANCE with The MCs are in their 30s (hell yesss, it’s real life, it make sense, those NA book ya’all liars)
2. Second chance 💘 romance, I’m not a fan this trope but somehow from this book alone, Im convinced Devney Perey is the one of the authors that excel in this trope
3. People say it Low angst, to me the angst is unexpected. A decade of history where friends dropped just like that, done so well!
4. Single dad romance, it’s not the best but it’s good y’all. The insecurities Ford had, yup Valid! Ford is solid, this man is flawed & ofc, his end goals!
5. Millie, she’s like my friend, she’s realistic & worldly. I like her a lot!
I know nothing about Football, but this was sweet & addictive, cant wait to read Toren & Rush’s book!”

“I started this book because I really want to read book 3 in the series. I wasn't sure I would be as hooked on this book as I was because I just wanted to read book 3 but can't bring myself to do it without reading the first two books first. I really liked this book, it was cute and held my attention from start to finish. I liked the characters and I think they fit together so well right from the start. If their collage years had been a book, I just know I would have cried my heart out. I'm not too sure how much I'm going to like book 2 because of the trope, but we'll see.”
