Clockwork Angels: The Comic Scripts Reviews

3.5
“This book was unbelievably boring, which is surprising because it sounded like something I would normally enjoy. I like philosophical themes, steampunk, and fairytales. I am not a fan of Rush, which is relevant only because this novel is supposed to expand on one of their concept albums, but commenters seemed to agree that it wasn't a necessary prerequisite to enjoy this novel. However, the story felt completely flat. I often thought while reading that I could DNF it and never have any regrets, but I stuck with it. The ending just made it worse. Everything was over-explained, repeatedly. The philosophical ideas were introductory-level and basic. I wouldn't recommend this book.”
