“As someone who bleeds Cubbie Blue, Al Yellon's Chicago Cubs Firsts is a trivia lover's dream with its depth and range of information, but it's also so much more as Yellon is a gifted storyteller and the way he paints a word picture about these events is pure baseball poetry. It could have just come off as an incredibly dry list, instead the love and care drips off the page.

About Al Yellon
Al Yellon is the author of A Season for the Ages, a chronicle of the Cubs' 2016 World Series run, and co-author (with Matthew Silverman and Kasey Ignarski) of Cubs By The Numbers, a lighthearted trip through Cubs history via uniform numbers. A Chicago area-native and former television director at Chicago's ABC-7, Yellon is a lifelong Cubs fan and the managing editor of Bleed Cubbie Blue, part of the SB Nation network.
