Charlene's Garden A Children's Guide to Gardening
ByPublisher Description
To Gardening Enthusiasts,
The objective of this book is to introduce children of all
ages to a "green passion." This will provide them skills
far into the future affecting many lives beyond their time
and forever.
The skills children acquire from gardening include:
caring for something besides one's own self, compassion,
self-expression, learning, love, nurturing, passion,
patience, persistence, responsibility and self-discipline.
The lessons children learn and retain for a lifetime
to share with others are in:
Art - with colors, shapes, design and drawings
Mathematics - with addition, subtraction,
measurements and weights
Science - with equations, formulas, measures and volumes
This book is a children's version of
Volumes I and II, Solving the Landscape Puzzle
without the "adult speak," omitting the technical details
about landscape design. I also left out the information
about chemical control for insects, disease and weeds
which are grownup responsibilities anyway.
