“I find this book so much more exhilarating than the film but it comes close! This one to me has so many more ties back to the prequels than the first book does but it all makes so much more sense. I still love Finnick and Peeta and Katniss and all their allies but I find I like Joanna and Beetee more in this one. My heart still breaks for Wiress and Mags but these folks mean more to me now having read Sunrise on The Reaping. The Quarter Quell is even more amazing reading it from the pages of this book. May the Odds be Ever in Your Favor!”

“rereading this book after SOTR was so impactful. seeing the plot unfold from a new lens helped to create a fuller understanding of the world suzanne collins created. this is definitely a series where you have to read it multiple times to fully comprehend the scope of the story and symbolism”
