Praise for AND OTHER MISTAKES by Erika Turner: "...standout novel... By employing impeccable emotional tension that superbly renders themes of abuse, friendship, and identity, Turner delivers a genuine and honest read." - Publishers Weekly (starred review)
Praise for CINDERELLA IS DEAD by Kalynn Bayron: "Flipping the Cinderella tale on its head, Bayron’s take challenges patriarchy with kick-butt heroines and a counter-story that will forever change how readers perceive fairy tales." - Booklist (starred review)
Praise for BLACK BIRDS IN THE SKY by Brandy Colbert: "Colbert writes confidently about the truth of American history that has been long omitted from textbooks and conversations, and presents a case for acknowledging lingering racist ideas, sentiments, and assumptions and for holding ourselves accountable to overturning the harm that racism has caused. Necessary reading for any student of history or for anyone trying to understand our present." - Booklist (starred review)
Praise for AND OTHER MISTAKES by Erika Turner: "Turner’s characters are the life of this novel, each feeling real even when they have minor roles... [Aaliyah's] story is an ode to the messiness of young queer teenagedom on par with Malinda Lo’s A Scatter of Light. ... The intentional discrepancy between Aaliyah’s interpretation of her mistakes and the reader’s view of them is impeccable, making her an incredibly sympathetic character with realistic flaws. Give this book to the teen who needs to be told that imperfection is okay." - BCCB (starred review)
