“The last of the were-dragons kidnaps a princess in his desperate attempt to fulfill his duty for the ancestors and finish the Ritual. But the princess is peculiar and everything goes awry.
Compared to the movie the book is more grounded and nicely written. Even though it doesn't explain how new dragons are born (unlike the movie), the ending in the book is more realistic and grounded than they did it in the movie. All in all this is a very decent slavic-like tale that keeps you interested even being rather simple in its plot.”
