“A wandering swordsman and a princess fleeing an arranged marriage go on a roadtrip in Tang Dynasty China. 3.5 stars. Brilliant action-packed opening and some good battle couple moments. It drags a bit in the middle. The low moment was for plot reasons and not based in character. Not as good as her more recent books, but still enjoyable and satisfying. Content notes:”
