“I was and still am unsure on how to rate this book, but I think a 3.5 does show how I felt from start to finish pretty well. I really enjoyed and flew through the book. However it took a bit longer to get to the romance than I thought, there was pining but I wish that would’ve been shown a bit more to us. The romance did however pick up at the 53% mark. I do enjoy a slow burn, but again there needs to be a bit more show than tell. When it comes to the other part of the plot - the game the two serial killers play - that was shown very very well (not for people who get easily queasy). I really enjoyed that part of the plot a lot, especially as I didn’t expect there to be so much of it. However it’ll take some time until I can have some Cookies & Cream ice cream again. And thank goodness I’m not that into Orzo pasta bc 🤢 The characters themselves were great, I loved both Sloane and Rowan and am really looking forward to pick up the next book Leather & Lark!”Val

“Serial killers? Give me give me. Love Rowan and Sloane 😍😍. They were perfect together. One thing that would have probably made this book a 5star was if Sloane was the Dom. Don't get me wrong, I still loved the scenes and their dynamic, but have you read the book? Their chemistry would be off the charts if Rowan wasn't the Dom, you can't convince me otherwise. And as he said before, he said he would kneel for her (or something along those lines- don't quote me).”About Brynne Weaver
