“This is my first Nalo Hopkinson and is also her debut novel.
The mix of dystopia, root medicine, & vodoun combined with themes of caring for community and consequences for actions was so well done.
I loved Mami with all my heart and seeing the Orishas personified was awesome as well. I will definitely be checking out more of Hopkinson's work.”
