“This was a delightful murder mystery novel set in the small town of Autumn Vale in upstate New York. The setting and tone of the town were absolutely gorgeous, especially in depictions of Wynter Castle. Merry Wynter, our heroine, was a delight to read from, and she fit right in with the community even though she had just arrived at the beginning. The rest of the characters, like Shilo and Lizzie, were filled with personality and uniqueness. The plot was definitely interesting, filled with plenty of loops and questions in regards to who killed Tom Turner. It was also refreshing to see that the townfolks did not immediately blame Merry when Tom was found dead on her yard. The ending really sets it up for a good potential of continuing the series, and I look forward to reading more of Merry's time in Auumn Vale.”
