Bloody Rose

By Nicholas Eames
Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

A band of fabled mercenaries tour a wild fantasy landscape, battling monsters in arenas in front of thousands of adoring fans. But, a secret and dangerous gig ushers them to the frozen north, and the band is never one to waste a shot at glory.

Live fast, die young.

Tam Hashford is tired of working at her local pub, slinging drinks for world-famous mercenaries and listening to the bards sing of adventure and glory in the world beyond her sleepy hometown.

When the biggest mercenary band of all, led by the infamous Bloody Rose, rolls into town, Tam jumps at the chance to sign on as their bard. It's adventure she wants -- and adventure she gets as the crew embark on a quest that will end in one of two ways: glory or death.

It's time to take a walk on the wyld side.

"Humorous twists and pulse-ratcheting action abound in Bloody Rose, but its Eames' knack for heart-wrenching poignancy that makes his warm, wonderful fantasy so harmonious." -- NPR

Loudly Crying Face“I thought this book was just okay. Nothing like the first one which was way better. It just kind of felt like a boring storyline. Kind of reminded me of Game of Thrones and having to deal with the white walkers. Not quite the sequel I was hoping for. Wish Moog was in the story a lot sooner than he was. Just an ok book and nothing memorable about it.”
“Nicholas Eames books really come to me at the worst times, because for what they are they fit my wants in a fantasy story perfectly. The characters and their relationships with each other are brilliant, the world and lore he manages to build while maintaining a fast paced adventure is incredibly impressive and the humour and wit that is laced throughout the book is completely up my alley. but every time I start one of his books, I'm either in a slump or I get distracted by a new game or series so my time becomes split. I truly have horrific timing. The upside of this is that it takes me longer to get through the books and that let's me savour it all the more. Maybe when the 3rd one releases I'll give them all a full attentioned re read and really allow myself to sink into them. Cause low key these books might be some of my favourite fantasy that I've read but they manage to skirt just under the surface and I consistently forget about them in between reads.”

About Nicholas Eames

Nicholas Eames was born to parents of infinite patience and unstinting support in Wingham, Ontario. Though he attended college for theatre arts, he gave up acting to pursue the infinitely more attainable profession of 'epic fantasy novelist.' Kings of the Wyld is his first novel. Nicholas loves black coffee, neat whiskey, the month of October, and video games. He currently lives in Ontario, Canada, and is very probably writing at this very moment.
