Why read on Fable?
Publisher Description
The first in the “powerful” (SFFWorld.com) New York Times bestselling fantasy series.
Vaelin Al Sorna was only a child of ten when his father left him at the iron gate of the Sixth Order to be trained and hardened to the austere, celibate and dangerous life of a warrior of the Faith. He has no family now save the Order.
Vaelin’s father was Battle Lord to King Janus, ruler of the Unified Realm—and Vaelin’s rage at being deprived of his birthright knows no bounds. Even his cherished memories of his mother are soon challenged by what he learns within the Order.
But one truth overpowers all the rest: Vaelin Al Sorna is destined for a future he has yet to comprehend. A future that will alter not only the Realm but the world.

“This was absolutely amazing and one of the best books of fantasy that I have read in years I think. Ryan is definitely a talented writer and someone that I look forward to reading more of. Talk about conspiracy theories, this is the mother of all conspiracies written so large that most writers couldn't possibly have pulled this off. The fact that Ryan succeeded has put this book into the category of those worthy of being used for writing instruction.
This is the first book a series, at least a trilogy and yet another series that I'm going to have to add to my to-read list on here in order to finish when I can find them cheaply. This was one of the few books that I went straight to Barnes and Noble's website the second I finished it to price the second one.”

“Expecting dross
I found gold
Anthony Ryan can be naught but a wizard
This trope was tired and worn out 30 years ago
But magically breathed new life into Epic Fantasy
Absolutely brilliant
(and the rest of his books are even better)”
