Blood So Red

By C. Gockel
Blood So Red by C. Gockel digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Fairy tales often have grisly endings …

Fairy tales don't always go by the book either. Cherie, the Charming Princess, rescued Jack, her sleeping prince, but she didn't receive her happily ever after.

Jack is distant, the city is in turmoil, and Cherie's made new friends, but new enemies, too.

And all the while, the Evil Queen is watching, scheming, and waiting for her chance to strike.

“I enjoyed the book. The war did not end with the queen, so i will be continuing the series to see where that goes. The plot moved along nicely and the development of Cherie’s powers was well-written. My only wish is that we got to see how Cherie felt after and how she walked between the line of too much good and too much anger in the world. Maybe this will be more developed in the next book. Also, I wanted more of Jack and Cherie’s relationship development. This was not the point of the book, so this is not a direct criticism, it is just a personal opinion. Though it was not the point, it was heavily talked about through the first two books, and i felt that the epilogue wedding was unsatisfactory in this area. Still was a well developed well written book! Would recommend”
“I was looking forward to Jack and Cherie’s relationship being explored more in this book. Sadly that didn’t happen and now I feel robbed of all the growth I was hoping for after the end of book one. Ugh”
