“so much to say about this one and so ill keep it brief. nearly perfect. so fun. i always have trouble making my way through a non-plot-relevant part of temeraire books but this successfully avoided the trappings novik left for herself in most of the others. i really, really enjoyed laurence running around with zero memory of temeraire or anything else about the last 8 years and instead of making a scene, just carrying on like nothing was wrong, as he should #girlpower. i love him very much”
