“I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't difficult to follow despite the jumps in time and large cast of characters. Learning about Eleanor's past along with her children was emotional. I also loved learning about black cake. The way it's woven into the story was masterful. I do wish it went a little deeper into some of the elements and characters. That would be my only criticism.
