“dnf @ 72% just not having fun with this one unfortunately”
“Sometimes Harlequin romances are hits and sometimes they're better served as kindling. And listen, this could have been great. The writing was decent and the plot and pacing were well done. The problem, the real crux of the book was the fact that the characters were absolutely trash. Tara would have been a fantastic character if she stood up to Dionysios/Dion. But she didn't, not really. He talked to her like she was flighty garbage, he treated her like a warm body to take his sexual advances and verbal abuse like he was entitled to it, and Tara just let it happen. Dion didn't change. Throughout the entire 200 pages of this book, Dion persisted in accusing Tara of being one foot out the door (regardless of her words and actions) and actively tried to push her away from her child. He was a trash human being which is only made worse by the fact that he is also a man. This wasn't good, which is a shame only for the fact that trees had to die for my impulsive thought to purchase this.”

“Green breaks down the barriers of love, life and family with an unconventional journey to happily every after. From heartbreaking, to humorous, to tempting, Tara and Dion are one surprise after another. Billion Dollar Baby Shock is an inconveniently, tempestuous story of hope and heartache that brings out all the feels.”
