“I'm a sucker for a good hockey romance and Sarina Bowen has so many to choose from. Big Stick Energy is her newest one and it was an awesome read from start to finish. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, and this one was made even better by the fact that both of the MCs are absolutely clueless when it comes to being in an actual relationship.
I love that Eric is Mr. Nice Guy, always helping everyone out but then when the spicy scenes start up, he's the complete opposite. That and the fact that he definitely falls harder for Darcy make him the perfect MMC for this story.
Poor Darcy has the worst family and you can immediately see why she is so cynical about relationships. Her banter with the team owner is hysterical and I loved when he made sure she knew how important she was to the team.
