And if helping the blue-eyed boy Asher enact his revenge is worth the risk—to the world and her heart.
Praise for Between the Blade and the Heart
“[An] entertaining fantasy. . . . There’s quite a bit for readers to enjoy in this series opener, including an openly bisexual protagonist, the diversity of characters and mythological source material Hocking draws on, and the intriguing blend of fantasy and science fiction elements. It’s fast-paced and stocked with action.” —Publishers Weekly

“I found this at a Little Free Library and had zero hopes going into it, but I actually enjoyed it. It's not a great piece of literature, but the story is easy to get into, and it's an interesting take on Valkyries. I can see myself re-reading it one and maybe even reading the next book in the series.”
