“This writing takes a while to get used to, but throughout I struggled with a lot of the phrasing and this nonlinear, three timeline jumps did not work for me.
First you have Ingrid, then actress Viveca, then motherhood Viveca, and I could never tell where I was on the timeline of it all.
I did find myself excited to find out what would happen after the few 100 pages or so, I thought I had figured out the ending and then there was a pretty big, but unsettling plot twist.
The second plot twist, if we want to call it that of Mark Remington was a bit of a let down, I really wished that there was some connection to her childhood offender there.
Then the final twist of the husband was pretty straight forward, I got the inkling early on when he was yelling at his ex-wife and the only mention of the prenup was infidelity made that pretty obvious.
It is a fine story to sit down and read through and besides a couple of the phrasings throughout the book I would say it’s a fairly easy read as well.”
